The 06Z GFS looks wetter towards mid to late next week, same as the 00Z GFS, 2 consistent runs in a row in the mid range at least. Carrots are back 384Hr.

This map is consistent with what Big White, east of Kelowna, is showing for a prediction. They're calling for 10-14 CM of snow a week from today.

Hey Abby Sr. I picked up mine from Amazon U.S. the display that comes with the unit is tiny. So I went through Ecowitt.com to get the HP2551-C display the one I posted is much nicer I purchased using a paypal account awesome ppl to deal with. I'll post some pics later of my backyard set up. The temperature sensor I couldn't place on my shed due to it heating up on the outside so I purchased a mini spec Stevenson screen through a company in the U.K. it works fantastic I looked at some of the temperature shields but they all have issues as far as reading too high. like I said I'll post some pics. later but I'm hanging Christmas lights today. And probably freezing my arse off.

It definitely sounds like you've put a lot of work into your setup -- that's what I like to hear.

The Ecowitt stations look pretty good. How's the rain gauge accuracy?

The worst thing about Davis is their rain gauge. It seems like quality on the surface, but the accuracy isn't there. The other annoying thing is you can't separate the rain gauge and the thermo-hygro unit.., at least not without modifying the station.

It used to be that nothing could touch Davis for accuracy, but it's not 2005 anymore. It seems like the lower budget stations are really beginning to compete. I think Davis still comes out on top for temperature, but almost anything else can be done as good or better by the cheaper options.

I'm inclined to mostly believe that Burns Bog reading. It may be off by a bit, but it's totally believable that's a cold spot. The lack of mineral soil at the surface in a peat bog makes for a ground surface with abnormally low heat capacity. As such, bogs often experience temperature extremes. This works both ways: I've been able to harvest wild cranberries shirtless on fall days that would normally be too crisp to do that comfortably, simply because the sun's out and the local temperature has quickly warmed to summery levels.
