North Road between Coquitlam and New Westminster

Most hills look(ed) like that… ice. Very difficult to drive on even with snow tires. We have some pretty steep hills here. Imagine going down a hill that is sheer ice.
You need studded tires for that!

This whole sh*t show on the roads would be avoided if they used SAND or a mix of sand and salt instead of this brine BS. Amazing how incompetent Metro Vancouver is.
Ya, hopefully they mix some sand in as salt itself isn’t as sufficient in these temps.

Lots of people will point blame at the government but flash freeze snowfalls have happened prior to 2022. Just so happens the past 2 have been regional disasters. Winter tires and AWD can help but the jeep 4x4 with winters still crashed into the curb on Cumberland.

People here are just bad drivers.
Ya… you gotta drive to the conditions.

Feels like I missed everything here in North Surrey. Barely had enough snow to cover the ground, but everywhere else got absolutely slammed with snow.
No worries Oiler friend at least your team won see you in the playoffs.

Dunno about “slammed;†amounts were under 5 cm. Probably too much dry outflow south of the Fraser: ate up all the snow.
Most of the areas that got skunked today did well earlier this week.
