Oh, was talking wind chill not actual temp. But maybe YXX had today beat in 2021 for that too. I really am not the stats guy.

Straight effect snow from windy.com radar. Notice the higher dbz colour on east side of Texada Island, it deforms to the west and then reforms heading towards Courtenay.

In other news, the windchill of -55 at Puntzi Mountain is a new all time record. The old record of -51 was set in 2012. Prior to 1993 there wasn't 24 hour hourly data which could be why no such record was set in the 1960s. When it was -52 degrees in the 1970s there was no wind.

Here's another question for Typer/Goose, because this one is harder to dig for.

When was the last time, before 21/22, 22/23, & 23/24, there were three consecutive winters (not calendar years) with a temperature at YVR in the minus teens (i.e. below -13.0)?
