Temp isn’t dropping like yesterday. Wouldn’t be surprised if we held or warmed up overnight.
Yeah, seems to be holding steady around -14C here... IF the outflow dies off we could challenge this morning's lows, but the outflow isn't forecast to die off until Sunday. By then the air mass will be moderating, so it will be unlikely to get colder than Friday morning.

Sure would but I still want a big snowstorm. Maybe December 2, 2007 style? A nice 30cm dump before the warm rains return?
I'm obviously wish casting here because its highly unlikely we manage a big 30cm snowfall but it sure would be a nice add on to this top tier cold.
Big freezing rain is better. Especially in the Smilkameen.

Not much wind anymore. Less than 1/4 speed from early today. Temp dropping at 0.1 per hour.
We'll see...

Got my new station setup and it seems very sensitive. Ultrasonic wind sensor seems much more accurate.

Might get banned for chastising the Similks mini minion.

Anyone have an idea of what today’s official high was at YVR and how it ranks?
It's called clown range for a reason.

Suppression depression! Would be nice to see a trend to extend the cold and keep our streak of seeing ice on the Fraser intact.
It start to look likely.

Yes, most likely. It's not a guarantee yet but the plan is to move to Ottawa in a couple years to be closer to family.
But don't worry, I'll never leave this weather community. It's a wonderful place here and I'll always be an active contributor. Just a new location.

Thanks so much for making me feel so welcome and valued. It means a lot.
But even if I do move, I'll still be active on here.
