Welp, l guess will be coming out of this cold spell with not much to show for it.
That figures we get the cold in place but not the moisture or we get the moisture but it's too warm.
It's currently -12c @ the frozen pond in south Sardis with an over night low this morning of -15c.

A friend of move to Saskatchewan four years and he was the biggest snow and cold enthusiast I know.., well guess what now they spend two months in Florida during the winter and hates the weather in Saskatchewan. Not to mention the Summers there.
When I was in Toronto over the summer, I started getting sick of the severe thunderstorms, and this is coming from someone who loves storms...

This is why BC is kinda in a sweet spot. We never see enough cold or snow to get sick of it. It's like a treat when we do, and we can appreciate it more and enjoy it. Anything too much of something can become annoying.

The mid week system is going to give the models a tough time. Timing 2 pieces of energy from 2 directions that are practically merging over the bc coast. Good luck model riding the next few days.

Euro was OTL for surface temps today. I think it was showing closer to -2/3 for YVR. I doubt it even gets to EC forecast of -5.

Yeah I expect a lot of model chaos with that one. But if it works out perfectly, it has the potential to give us a big region wide snowstorm. :flakey:

I also had a low of -13.7° , warmer than yesterday.
Currently -8° , already up from yesterday's high

And seems like outflow winds have died right off.
