How long would you need the cold to last to be able to skate on it safely? 2 weeks ?

Anyways, " Back to weather "
Okay but now you and Ovonucks have made a personal gripe against another member, publicly in the thread, for the second or third time in a row, by referring to them in the third person (so not even directly engaging with them). Regardless of how justified your complaint might be, that's also uncalled for.

Lakes I wouldn't but flooded fields are good. Serpentine Fen was great today. 48 hours of around -10C is more than enough

Going to check out the Fen tomorrow morning. No skates but is a good time for a marsh walk.

Let this be the final post on the matter, or I'm going to start handing out warnings.

I do apologise, I took a few minutes away from the thread and just immediately responded to notifications. I did not realise the forum had moved on since then.

Yeah, don't make me post something like "my God, this forum has devolved into the worst of the worst. It's always emotional and reactionary in here, but it seems that the rational and seasoned members have pulled back to make way for the kids.

I'm going to step back for the day too. It's just too much uninformed nonsense.

I am excited for a lot of you guys, because it seems like this is your first time tracking a PNW winter storm. I remember my first time."
