Also I remember being driven to my brother's Junior A hockey games in Chilliwack, and my dad, who's from Central Eastern Saskatchewan, said it reminded him of home with the wicked blizzard conditions we encountered.

Re: January 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
I was 7. Remember the early 70's and posted another time about getting frostbite. Lived in a very low part of Surrey until 74 so many times would see cars from higher areas of Surrey with snow on them but just slush in my area, I would be so angry. An epic time for snow/cold lovers.Canada Goose wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2024 6:47 pm With 36.2 cm of snow this month, Vancouver YVR is experiencing its snowiest January since 2002 (36.9 cm) and the 11th since records began in 1938. With a strong El Niño!
In addition, we are now above the 1991-2020 winter average (34.1 cm)!

Stubborn low level cold has this slush melting at a slow pace. In fact, some of it has actually hardened up this evening due to some clearing we saw.

Tonight and tomorrow's rain ought to be welcome relief. Unfortunately looks a little warm for the local hills.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 20, 2024 8:02 pm Stubborn low level cold has this slush melting at a slow pace. Moderate rain and 3.6ËšC. A lot of melting happened overnight.
It's called clown range for a reason.
