Did anyone actually smell the awful smell from the refinery yesterday? I didn't catch anything, thankfully, and I spoke with someone around Burquitlam who didn't either.

No, but I have a friend who lives north of Hastings St. who smelled it. I think both of us are too far south to have been affected.VanCitySouth wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 4:11 pm Did anyone actually smell the awful smell from the refinery yesterday? Probably for the best. A lot of jerks no longer shovel their sidewalks and plows end up tossing more slushy snow onto the sidewalks. It's an absolute nightmare for seniors or people who rely on mobility devices.

Maybe depressing for the weather geeks, but the sound of rain washing away the snow is music to the ears of 99.99% of the general public.

I agree skipper plus trying to take the garbage to the dumpster is a chore for an old timer like me. I don't find fun in sliding on slush.Forrest Gump wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 5:57 pm Maybe depressing for the weather geeks, but the sound of rain washing away the snow is music to the ears of 99.99% of the general public.
