I don't remember that, haha, but this forum is just lacking so many things that you dont expect in 2024 on the internet. Can't post Twitter links. Can't post videos, which sucks especially on a weather forum.

But i'm happy we have this community tho and stuffy does a wonderful job keeping it running.

Driving along 168 southbound just after Highway 10 flurries started, once up the hill into south surrey at 168 and 24th ave it was snowing pretty good and still windy. It continued for about an hour. All through this the temp was +4. So it never stuck to anything, it was just flying in the air. Cool to see still.
Always cool seeing snow fall when it's plus 4 or 5

You can post the links but they're not embedding right now. I'm not sure if there's a cheap enough dedicated/specialized phpBB hosting site that would scale so the site doesn't slow down. There are other forums like Invision Board but it's not a cheap license.

I'm not sure if there are other community/forum services that we can use that wouldn't be too much that would be snappy fast, reliable and provides modern features.

Glacier wrote: Fri Feb 16, 2024 1:21 am Nope. -31 and clear this morning. Huge inversion this morning. -31 at Puntzi Mountain, but only -12 at the Williams lake airport. Same elevation and latitude. But Williams Lake is at the top of a mountain and Puntzi Mountain is a valley bottom.

Same at my place in the Okanagan. -12 at my place 150 above the valley bottom. But drive down the hill to the valley bottom and the temperature dropped 3 degrees.

Kelowna airport, same thing. 3 degrees colder than UBC0.
That's actually insane Glace l'm assuming that was with no arctic air in play?

Not bad during the day, but clear calm nights means fast drop in temperatures.

Williams Lake and Puntzi Mountain are the same latitude and similar elevation, and yet... greater than a 10 degree difference... Puntzi was -30.7 and -30.8 the past two mornings...

The pattern being shown for end of the month looks like it could be decent for mountain snows.
