Even if we don't get a widespread low elevation snowfall, this upcoming pattern change is not at all what one would expect in a strong El Niño.

Initial trough digs and ejects too rapidly. Flow favours a Puget Sound Convergence Zone but brings in a NW flow up here with some quick burst of showers.

Then a baroclinic front takes aim at the West Coast and delivers some heavy rain. This really dumps a crazy amount of snow on the Mountains.

Not much in the way of lowland snow though.

Oh wait wrong script El Neets :D chilly late February air arrives after the heavy moisture moves out.
Crazy inversion sets up till April followed by hot dry weather, fires, water restrictions, camp fire bans, another town or 2 in jeopardy and a provincial state of emergency until October.

Fine with me. The mountains could use a crazy amount of snow.

Looks like a decent TS squall ripped through Seattle about 6:30 p.m. this evening.

Good morning forum friends since winter has come to an end.  :x :( :cryhard: it's time to grade this winter. Welp l'm going with B grade only cause of the major snowfall event and cold 🥶 in mid January it was too short to me l almost went with C+ but l was being generous really.
