Mountains definitely need some snow.

Man that's absolutely insane and sad Ty my man. Could be the end of the line for some local ski hill owners it's happened before.
May have to go to the Okanagan for your ski fix in the future.

I took a "shortcut" from Chasm to Savona via the deadman valley. Backroads all the way. In a Jetta that can scape bottom on some speedbumps. A few times I thought for sure I'd have to hike 2 or 3 hours in the dark for help. Somehow made it. And one road wasn't plowed! and it had a creek across so had to gun it through the creek while driving through 6 to 10 inches of snow. And the rocks, wow, I stopped at least 10 times to clear them off the road. Boulders almost.

Any part of the road in the sun was mud. I almost got stuck several times. At one point I drove down a steep hill of mud and then I had to go up a steep hill of mud, I thought I was going to be stuck hours from anyone at that point, but I spun those wheels hard up the other side, and barely made it!

That's insane Glace, sounds more like something out of Indiana Jones, l would have called a taxi.
Was the Mrs. impressed with your determination.

Lasy few years there have been really warm with dismal ski seasons.

I love how they downplay climate change and blame El Niño at the bottom when things were just as bad there last year during a La Niña. Quick, Someone tell us again how the media is hyping climate change!

There was a weird article going around Twitter/X where there was speculation on the world entering another ice age by the late 2020s. There was absolutely ZERO backing to the conclusion aside from a meteorologist saying a cooling period could be likely.

Maybe if the gulf stream collapses then Europe will cool drastically but the rest of the planet will bake.

According to A.I. Canada Monday & Tuesday look like showtime perhaps in the central valley. hoping the local ski hills get dumped on next week good chance.
