Re: March 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
Are we going to get some April snow showers? I have had a couple inches of snow in April a few times in Maple Ridge.

Maybe in your backyard but not mine. My bad luck with snow affects April, too. More likely to see snow in Newport, OR than MBY in April.stuffradio wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 9:19 am Are we going to get some April snow showers? I have had a couple inches of snow in April a few times in Maple Ridge.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Re: March 2024 Forecasts and Discussions
April 18th 2008 was when I recorded near 8cm of snow when I was living near Green Timbers park. Very chilly trough was followed by a Coastal slider which delivered a region wide snowfall.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 9:30 am Maybe in your backyard but not mine. I'm thinking more along the lines of an all expense paid trip to Mexico or the Caribbean funded by those who want a chance at late season snow.

The April fools day 2009 snowfall was pretty significant in the Tri Cities too. About 5-10cm in the morning from what I can recall.

April 14th, 2011 was a good one for the valley. I picked up about 6 cm, but YXX only reported a trace for some reason.

I remember a day in April 2011 when it was pouring rain and transitioned to accumulating snow later in the afternoon/early evening. Probably the one you're referring to.
