Marine drive flood, the sequel. What a way to celebrate the 25th annniversary of the great flood/hail storm of June 1999.

A cluster of lightning centered around 176 Street @ Hwy 10 about half an hour ago, most powerful strike was a 24kA +CG.

Does anyone know what caused these storms? A deformation band? Gravity wave?

Radar loop (apologies for the choppy framerate): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xHw66X ... p=drivesdk

Update: Two more clusters of strikes around 12:15 in Langley, all -CGs. 69kA and 2kA strikes near 208 Street @ 72 Ave; 9kA, 6kA and 3kA strikes off Glover Road.

Reports of a funnel cloud in the Eastern Valley. I did notice some cells in Washington state showing a tornadic vortex signature.
