Sure did. That heat dome earlier this month stayed further south so we were on the northern edge. However, some ensemble members had it right over BC like late June 2021. Thankfully, those extreme solutions did not verify. Not that I expected them too, but seeing a near 600dm ridge so close was a bit too close for comfort.

A lot of the longer range models have been hinting at this. I would like to see this show up for DJF.

I wonder if we will have a September or early October frost? Typically the years we do have this though, the snow forks get thrown in the ground early. Bring out the cherry blossoms!

Re: July 2024 Forecasts And Discussions
There's ZERO room for debate, this month has been the hottest ever! Lytton is running 3 degrees above the previous all time hottest month! Yes, it will drop with cooler weather for the rest of the month, but still, at least Lytton, Osoyoos, and Lillooet should break the all time record for hottest month ever recorded in Canada (35.6, set in Warfield in July 2021). The heat has been relentless! I tried camping on the weekend, and we spent all the time in the water. Never seen a summer this hot!
