Not yet. There's a pretty strong inversion, so the temperate actually rises when I go up the hill to my place. I haven't even had any fog to speak of.

The Euro continues to move towards the GFS with a late month Siberian Sudden Stratospheric Warming. Again, this may not be a major event with a wind reversal but regardless it will certainly weaken the Polar Vortex. Given that we are in a -ENSO/+QBO configuration and that Siberian warmings seem to be favouring the west in recent years, this could be a good sign for winter lovers here in SWBC and the PNW. But no guarantees.

It will probably a few weeks at this point. :thumbup:

Best we can hope for until then is a seasonal zonal flow but LR models either suggest a dirty ridge or AR pattern.

Agreed. It's highly unlikely we see any arctic air until late month at the earliest. But our best chance will likely be early to mid January. :thumbup: :wave:
