Starting to feel like a winter that will feature Catnip's #BeginningOfFeb.
Blowtorch with multiple opportunities for ARs the next month. Ridging late January with retrogression by early Feb.
Unfortunately think cold will linger on in that March-May period.

Been snowing on the Island all morning.
Temp profile able to support snow down to 150m. However, there is not enough precip today. Should see more precip tomorrow as the freezing level skyrockets.

Looking fairly active in the mid-long range with storms moving through every couple days or so.
Perhaps another windstorm or two is on tap.

Outflow winds and some snow here in Squamish, not sticking but blowing around and feels cold and finally feels like winter today. I will take it, even if doesn't last.

Snowed for a couple hours here this morning. Models actually did okay really. They have been hinting at this chance for many days now.

I feel like the upcoming pattern is primed for more windstorms.
Also, welcome back Monty!

Models got it wrong here as the precip got shredded by mid layer outflow over the Lower Mainland. Had some mixed precip but it's been mostly dry here.
