Great, endless warm front drizzle.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2024 10:14 pm Model runs tonight killed any idea of amplified ridging over the West Coast.
More cloudy mild drippy damp weather with a split flow or dirty ridging the next 16 days.
I cannot wait for Spring.

Yep. Interesting how we've seen a top tier December in terms of snowfall (2008) and a top tier February in terms of cold (2019) in recent times, but January has been completely devoid of either over the past three decades.

It's sure amazing Tdrip how we were so excited in the early fall for this winter but to be honest you could see the pattern morphing into something boring and non winter.

Re: December 2024 Forecasts And Discussions
Dud winters are part of this climate, so it's always within the realm of possibility. Though we still have plenty of time to see a decent snowfall and/or cold snap as February can deliver good events.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2024 10:59 pm It's sure amazing Tdrip how we were so excited in the early fall for this winter but to be honest you could see the pattern morphing into something boring and non winter.
I also wouldn't discount a classic 5-10cm March or April slushfall given how this winter has progressed so far.

Yeah it's really interesting but frustrating at the same time. Like, how hard is it for January to be dominated by a -PNA? Seriously...

Anyone care to update yearly snowfall totals and quote this post to update your amount?(if you even have anything so far lolol). I'm prolly at about 1-2cm for the year...and a very sloppy, wet 1-2cm it is, here on the Wetcoast..even the local bumps are suffering this year!

Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++

Skipper Gimpyballs and The Sardinies old retired farts snowfall contest for the 2024/2025 season has been canceled due to what else a poor performance of accumulating snowflakes.

Every single model run today continue to show that semi-permanent Aleutian low 16 days out....Not one GEFS ensemble member showed any potential change.
