Finally a freeze in the belt!

The Banana Belt has likely racked up more freezes than much of the rest of the region this season.

Mostly clear with a low of -2c in east Coquitlam earlier this morning with black ice in spots. Looked like there was some patchy fog further to the east in Pitt Meadows and also to the north, and also stretching from the inlet in Port Moody to near Lafarge Lake.

We may see an Agassiz farctic outflow special soon when the (fairly weak) downsloping winds start to kick in.

I saw that fog driving over the Golden Ears bridge. Similar to yesterday morning as well. We are struggling to shake the fog and low level moisture. Hopefully this continues as our weather pattern changes towards the end of the month, bringing plenty of moisture and SNOW!

There is still lots of potential for sure. But when I posted the Run-to-Run change map on the American forums, I was called a troll.

Gotta love that. Good runs all day then the EPS comes and takes a massive dump over all of it.

They don't want JR posting about something 7-10 days out, yet the few times I'll pop on there I see numerous posts of day 10-15 maps showing some perfect storm of snow and cold that will most likely never materialize. Then when they don't materialize they cancel winter. It's like rinse and repeat on there, year after year.

Models are useless after day 5 right now given the fluctuations.

Always just go with climo and hope for the best outcome.
