I'm just amazed at how locked in we are in this pattern this winter the new norm or just a1976 redux was that the winter Christmas time and l remember the local mountains were bare pretty much.We were living in the Kitsilano Broadway and Alma area.

1976-77? That was the year of a very persistent west coast ridge. Big time winter drought for California. One of the worst on record. East got slammed with multiple snowstorms and cold waves.
