Looks to be a fun period coming up. Lots of potential if things go right.

Actually this past week or so with the cold nights, sunny days has been awesome too. Sort of going from a cool period into a cold one perhaps.

There will be winners and there will be losers.

Was this the timeframe the models initially had the cold ejecting into the Pacific in February 2017? I recall the models trended further west 4 days out and that’s when the real fun model riding started. It should be noted that often the cold ends up trending further east than initially modelled. Usually that means game over for us but in this case it could put us in the score zone for significant snowfall.

I believe so, yes. Trough was modeled to be too far offshore (west) before it trended east within 96hrs, hence the colder and snowier result.
