Accumulating snow and snowfall are very different measures and many people here actually mean snow accumulation is what they care about. People say the models are wrong when often times it is simply their interpretation of the model that is wrong.
Tell em Nordelian!!
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

Ya, maybe every renewal period Stuffy you can post the amount needed, and open up a way to interac/debit transfer funds to you from our bank accounts. No fees usually involved with that vs Paypal nonsense. Then the funds will go right to your account, which you could even set up in your bank strictly for funds donated to you. I'm with TD and I don't think I get charged for sending interac etransfer or whatever they call it, or if they do it's like 25 cents or something.

RGEM looks very snowy Sunday night in the lower mainland.

My early gut feeling is the lower mainland is gonna beat the south east of Vancouver island on this event.

Ya, that was a sad story. Both those guys have never come here. They let the forum hosting to expire down to the last 2 days and we could not reach any of them. We copied the database in order to preserve it and not lose everything, in order to relaunch THEIR forum and that made them angry, and then that site went dead and we were forced to open THIS forum. That upset them for some reason, and one guy threatened to sue us. Over why? I have no idea. Maybe because we used the memberlist from the database. But that was the only way to allow all current members to be able to sign in again without creating new accounts and all that mess. That was a rough time for all members because many accounts were dormant and we would send out emails trying to tell people where the new forum was, but most never got the email. Anyway, that was a long time ago and eventually the members that enjoyed that forum eventually found their way here. Just a bit of history and nostalgia for everyone! :D

3 am Saturday morning. 850mb of -9°C. If you tell me can't get snow with that, then I don't know how we get snow.

Temperatures don't look like a problem after Saturday, but it looks like amounts will be heavily dependent on where the moisture bands set up Sunday into Monday. Not as much a terrain bleed issue at first glance.

Appears that the upper levels cool pretty quickly between 10pm Friday and 4am Sat.

Like Storm mentioned, should be cold enough to see snow Saturday morning onward. It does look like Sunday is the big snow day though. Plenty cold enough by then.

Saturday may be a flurry here flurry there type deal.

This is a story I hope to just leave in the past . It was a very awkward conversation having one of the guys (who I never knew at the time was a co-founder) call me on my cellphone.
