Reporting :cheerlead: living right downtown Vancouver these days… by Rogers Arena. I’ve unfortunately had to give up on flying due to loss of medical but tracking weather is still a part of my day job so I’ve been watching this upcoming outbreak closely.

I’m definitely part of the ‘only show up when snow is coming’ crowd, but it’s so great to see the forum as active as it is right now :D love you all!

Then next week highs of plus 3 one day. the forecast looks abit winter like.
0C seems way too warm for Monday... more like -4C. I would also be surprised if reaches 3C on Tuesday. I guess they're factoring in February daytime heating, but the outflow and snowcover should still be strong enough to keep it below 0C.

AbbyJr wrote: Thu Jan 30, 2025 4:23 pm If I understand correctly, Environment Canada relies on the GEM guidance so they are probably waiting to see if it jumps on board. So far it's milder and way less snowy than the Euro. I'm sure they consider the Euro too but I'm still somewhat skeptical without GEM support. Time will tell.
It's less than 48 hours away. It's beyond irresponsible for a weather agency to ignore the other models. Everyone will be caught off guard. It's not like we're talking about 2 cm here...

Well, depending on location, we might be, if some of the models are correct.
