12km resolution snowfall maps are terrible because of terrain bleed. Higher resolution are preferable if available as they are more accurate.

Not useful to use this NAM for these kinds of set ups - use the 3km hi res version.

Especially because the coming event is mostly showers instead of an organized system, mesoscale models are the ones to go to, now that things are coming into their windows.
It's called clown range for a reason.

The real question is will trump put tariffs on Canadian snow and cold?

Sure, if they go out long enough to cover the event.

I think the computer at EC has had the equivalent of a brain aneurysm. As I said earlier, they forecast temps to drop to zero this afternoon. We have gone from 6.8 to 7.7 Now, I realize weather is dynamic, but wow! Port Hardy@ 3 and Campbell River @6.

Maybe we should stop giving licenses out like candy? I found out temporary residents don't have to do any exams which is ridiculous.

Let's just lock in these pretty colours on the Euro now and ensure they verify? Imagine a top tier snowstorm followed by 2 weeks of arctic air. :silent:

While these big totals may not verify, there's no need to lecture anyone. This is a Euro map under 100hrs out. This isn't a crazy 300hr GFS run. Regardless, I don't know of any good reason to lecture people on here. It's a weather forum for us to have fun with and share our hobby. :D
