Mesoscale models suggest less organized band development and more scattered precip. 2-15cm

It will be interesting to see which models win out. My guess is we are going to see more scattered precip and a regional event is unlikely.
I think it was Jan 24 2021 where I last bet on the mesoscales against the euro on a snowfall, and that one busted big. So hopefully this time it's kind of the opposite.

I'm still like 60/40 for a significant snowfall in most spots but that's a decent amount less confident than i was before.

The Rgem has the heaviest band happening after the HRDPS is finished, so there's that.

I've got a dusting of snow and it's currently +0.4C after a low of +0.2C

Mission traffic cameras if anyone is interested: https://www.mission.ca/services/roads-t ... ad-cameras

Cedar & Best or Stave & Best are the closest to me and both fairly accurate.

I'll try and set up a web cam tomorrow.

Snowfall warning just issued

Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 20 cm is expected.

Where: Metro Vancouver.

When: Tonight through Monday morning.

Remarks: A wintry mix of weather conditions is expected to impact the South Coast of B.C. through Monday morning. A period of heavy snowfall is expected tonight and Sunday morning. Accumulations will vary widely across the region, ranging from 10 to 20 cm. The highest amounts will likely occur over higher terrain, but other areas may see locally intense flurries giving reduced visibility and heavy snow accumulation. Precipitation will taper off to wet flurries or showers Sunday afternoon. Another round of heavy snow may develop Sunday night into Monday morning.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

There was a snowfall in Dec 2017 and 2022 where the GEM and RGEM busted big and the Euro solution was the closest to what verified.
