Donutsford is tough to get a win as usual. Even Pitt Meadows (Donut #2) will prolly get more :shh:
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

wet flakes at 9am on HawksHill, switching to chunky rain/rain showers down the hill and into Pitt Meadows and Coquitlam. Changing over to snow now, but wet. Hopefully the precip picks up.

Can see the precip trying to bust through the border for South Langley/Surrey

The 12Z Euro continues to show a prolonged arctic blast. The cold could lock in for 10-14 days and we might go into this with solid snow cover. Unfortunately, this isn't January otherwise me might be looking at breaking the curse. But I'll take it regardless of the month.

It is from EC. And if the Euro/GFS consensus verifies, it will bust slightly high.
It's called clown range for a reason.

GFS and EC been holding tight from 2-3 days ago to showing mixed precip today, esp sea level and near the coast. Check. :shh:

I hope these verify. It would be amazing to have 2 or 3 decent snowfalls after this weekend mixed in there. Epic may the word that comes to mind

So cool seeing the snow line drop to the water as you go north up the Howe sound in real time. Starting to change to snow here in Horseshoe Bay

Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 20 cm is expected.

Where: Metro Vancouver.
Here on the Sunshine Coast, we've decided to sit out the snow fall warning and stick with our SWS. Still have the cm from last night but it's melting slowly. Temp up to 2.2c dp 0c in Sechelt :( :(

That might be the coldest euro run we’ve seen for the two weeks, probably since 2008.

Same for the valley.

I don't think much is going to happen until tonight... these showers aren't heavy or long lasting enough to accumulate more than a thin layer, which quickly melts and then you're starting over from square one. Conditions should be much better tonight through Sunday night.

First thing I want to do is thank you for your analysis as you seem not to get too high or too low, mostly just the facts.
Bit of sleet/grapple here in Newton. Not expecting much today unless get we hit with heavy precip. Just a reminder to all the great people
on this forum, this is the LM/Valley/Island sometimes you are a big winner and sometimes you are a Tim Bit.

Ironically, with the supposed arctic air coming, its the warmest it's been for the last 10 days. All the ice has melted off the bog.

Burnaby seems to be in the right path of the heavier precip. Still snow up here but some graupel mixed in. A few cm this far.
A nice heavy burst at the moment of some real nice fatties falling.
Burnaby Mountain @ 365 m..

Stats? Fresh out of those. But I win anyway. I got all the inches.
