EC doesn't seem to be too impressed with much snowfall here and doesn't seem to think the cold air will last long

Ya it almost looks like a 3 day event then warming up what happened to the reload and 2 weeks of cold. :x

More hype. Hype is the common failure. The result has been more than disappointing

Lol
As much as he can be an ass at times, I think we have to recognize that the models are operating with an assumption that the 30 year probabilities are static. A rapidly changing climate and weather patterns have stumped the models. As i said this morning, we are at the mercy of unforeseen circumstances. Wpro might have some more to say, later

Below freezing from roughly tomorrow evening until Thursday afternoon according to EC. Reload may still happen, but safer to err on the side of a slow moderation at this point. High of only 3C on Friday, so still below seasonal.

That's true Abby Sr. got to take into account it's early February now.

It's a long term game, you'll see the results in the end, you're richer than you think. What's in your wallet?

Yes, slowed as expected and modeled to our NW, N, and NE.

To our E, however, it is moving quicker as it has finally made it past the Rockies, through the Crowsnest Pass. It's currently near Cranbrook.

Actually makes forecasting more of a challenge, as it means there isn’t model consensus. Was really expecting the Euro to come on board with the rug pull for just this reason. If it was the GEM or GFS that was failing to come into line, I would write it off as an outlier. But it’s bad to bet against the Euro. Yet it’s also bad not to recognize an outlier for what it is.

Guess it’s up to the GOLU model to resolve things!
This is realistic. Shows a doughnut hole over the #BananaBelt.
