And that is a normal state of affairs, when it comes to precip. It's the fact that we seem to have one of the warmer temps and after the failure of the maritime arctic front, last night, to cool us a quickly and as low as modeled, I am pretty skeptical about tomorrow.

The upper levels are so cold the surface temp won’t matter. If there is steady precip it will be snow. I don’t think I ever cracked 2C today even with lots of sun breaks. And the snow was quite dry. Almost too dry to make a snow man. It took about an hour of packing and rolling to make a small one.

John posted early this morning the Arctic fluff had gone through Kamloops so that had me confused when l looked later and it hadn't but all good.

Last I checked it was held up north of Kamloops, Savona, and Cache Creek. Further west, it was pushing out to the central coast at Bella Bella and Bella Coola. Further east, it was still around the Mica Dam, and was just coming through Cranbrook. There's less of an easterly gradient with this arctic blast hence why it's making further progress to the NW rather than the NE.

l recall in the past Arctic fluffs coming down the island first before coming through the canyon from the NE this looks like one of those rare occasions Tslush.? so what happens with 2 systems along the Arctic boundary it changes the trajectory or orientation of the Arctic fart.
