Re: February 2025 Forecasts And Discussions
Not much of any Arctic fluff left at the moment high humidity calm winds, l'm not sure where the reload is hardly any push really. I wouldn't be surprised if temps are revised upwards for the week.

little semi-stationary, colourful cell sitting in the strait E of the Nanaimo area..should be moving to the SE towards Richmond/Tsw..i dunno, Looks like it has snow pellets written all over it, if it holds together or better yet...intensifies!!

Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++

Skiff of snow fell overnight here. Now -0.1˚C. Got as cold as -2.3˚C before it clouded up.
It's called clown range for a reason.

The reload is not here yet.
And, the reload is looking pretty pointless temp wise and snow wise. A bit of a disappointment but this winter just has that dawg in it to disappoint you when you think it's getting good.
Regardless, I've enjoyed this event even in it's modified form. Nice to get something out of nothing. Snow 5 out of the last 7 days and some nice beautiful mornings with it. No mud being tracked in with the dogs is a huge plus! I would now be happy with a mountain snow pattern to take over, especially as we head into march and the ski hills get a little less busy. However those patterns have been so infrequent lately that I would expect almost anything else.

It's amazing to even say other than cold temps it was nothing but a dry disappointing blast in the central valley.PortKells wrote: ↑Sun Feb 09, 2025 8:48 am I would say two things -

Working on the Departure Bay to Horseshoe Bay ferry route and I can confirm it's snowing pretty solid in the middle of the strait. Low visibility.

It looks like Chris Doyle is leaving X. This is very unfortunate, that platform turned into complete garbage aftert Must took over. I miss Twitter that was my one and only Social media I went to and I deleted my account six months ago.

Re: February 2025 Forecasts And Discussions
I do feel bad for you guys. Luckily you didn't miss the big one or anything, just a solid event for some. Even here I didn't have enough to sled on. But to be fair, your location has had some really nice events where others got nothing, like Dec 2020 for one quick example.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Sun Feb 09, 2025 8:56 am It's amazing to even say other than cold temps it was nothing but a dry disappointing blast in the central valley.![]()
The lack of an overrunning is a real bummer here. Just didn't work out for whatever reason. Maybe March will give us some slushy fun!
