Low -6.3C in Mission.

Yesterday was -7.7C/1.3C

I was out in Mission yesterday gorgeous winter day took a drive up top brought back many memories of the past enjoyed seeing the snow just a different world from Chilliwack.

Crazy temperature inversions! -25 in the valley bottom and -20 at my place 50m above the valley bottom!

Also, the diurnal temperature variations lately have been nuts! Anahim Lake was 30 degrees warmer yesterday morning than yesterday afternoon! Same for Baldface Mountain to the east of there. And Puntzi Mountain (to the southeast of Anahim and the provincial cold spot) rose by almost 29 degrees.

Just insane spread there Glace trapped cold air February higher sun angles showing it's power crazy. Perfect set up to see this in action upper levels warming nicely too.

Growing up Typoman l remember the parks board in Vancouver would monitor the city lakes like Trout Lake or Beaver Lake and lost Lagoon and announce when it was safe for skating l guess it's not in the budget anymore and it's use at your own risk now.
