So for areas in Vancouver that had snow fall this month does feeling this quake increase your grade for winter or not. :?

Map of how people felt it.

This depth is shallow. Shallow quakes tend to hit a relatively small area quite hard and can sometimes feel like a bomb has gone off or a semi-truck has crashed into a nearby wall. This can be seen in the reports around the Sunshine Coast where modified Mercalli intensity (mmi) V and VI occurred, which means some light damage. Locations further away, such as in Vancouver Metro, received a sharp shaking, but at lower intensities of III and locally IV. The mmi scale is one based on reported earthquake effects, and not the waves measured on seismographic equipment. Map courtesy of the USGS.

Did we have anything in place that alerted us to the earthquake before it happened?

Looks like we could finally see a -PNA with a SSW event. PV gets pulverized in March. Could see tons of slush in the last week or March into early April.

Joy.
March can actually be a very good month for building mountain snowpack.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Nothing felt here in the Kensington neighbourhood. I live on well-consolidated natural ground near the top of a ridge. No fill or peat soils here.

Snow levels in the province are near record lows. Let's hope March delivers!

I really felt it here, first I heard the low roar/rumble and then the shake. It was over and I was heading outside to check on the outside animals when the alarm went off letting me know there as an earthquake...totally useless imo. The dog didn't react but the cat sat up and shot off his chair to a safe hideyhole somewhere, he came out about 10 minutes later. First earthquake I've felt since I've lived here, about 18 years, there's been others I haven't felt.

No damage, nothing even fell, at least not that I've noticed.
