pretty much yup. We are always around 3 months behind. We need spring weather in Dec-Jan.
It always seems to be cool, showery and often troffy March-April compared to Dec-Jan
So like you said, we get Rain and H6-9c in Dec-Jan, then showery and H 8-11c in spring. Sad.

Similkameeeens often gets snow in May too. I have seen it many times. 2 times i recall in July..10th and 4th...snow at around 1200m and white mountain tops from ~1400m+, a few inches likely.

Yes l was going to mention Calgary is @ 3000 ft. Fun fact Glace did you realize if you drive from Calgary to Edmonton your actually driving down hill and saving on fuel economy of course it's reversed driving south.
