I was at the Cloverdale Rodeo and saw the mesocyclone developing in the distance with a shelf cloud. At approx 5:50pm, a funnel cloud looked to develop just East of 176 St and 64th Ave. It came very close to touching down.

It has been quite chilly and wet under this troffy regime. Even the upper Peaks near the Coq and Similks been getting snow close to pass levels. Troffs are the best. Look at last night locally :shock: :shock:
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

It definitely feels like we get more rogue mesocyclone develop these days. At least once a year it seems this decade.

I wonder what's causing that in the upper atmosphere especially in our somewhat subdude climate. It's not like we are influenced by any warm Gulf Of America :wtf: air or current.
