Mainly clear and hot with temps around 34c in Kamloops (pic # 1) this afternoon; similar conditions with temps near 32c in the Shuswap, with charred landscape still visible (pic # 2) from the 2023 wildfire between Chase and Sorrento. Pretty uniform conditions further east in Three Valley Gap (pic # 3) -- temps around 30c.

My son use to play on that caboose at Three Valley Gap if it's still there. Perhaps you'll stumble upon Glace he's all but disappeared last known location heading to Snag in the Yukon.

This was my 4th trip to Yukon. And by far the coldest and wettest. On Thursday I drove from Whitehorse to Liard River hotsprings, and the warmest temperature on the car thermometer was +12! I stopped at The last gas station leaving the Yukon and there were two bikers hugging the wood stove trying to get warm.

Anyway, hitting the hotsprings on the coldest and wettest day of the summer was perfect.

Great to see your safe Glace kinda worried you hit a Snag in the Yukon  any correlation between a wet cold summer in the far north and a cold winter for us. :? one can only hope.

Mix of sun and cloud with temps between 22c and 25c between Revelstoke and Banff (pic # 1: East of Rogers Pass / pic # 2: Golden / pic # 3: Banff).

Mainly sunny with gusty winds east of the Rockies in Cochrane, temps near 30c (pic # 4). Heading north, along the eastern side of the Rockies towards Rocky Mountain House, conditions deteriorated rapidly (pic # 5), with thunderstorms, heavy rain, and temps falling to between 15c and 18c.

High of 29.7 here, humidex 35, humidity 45%. Currently 22.2c. Too hot for me. The wind was really hot too and a power outage just for fun. It was short about 30 minutes, something to do with their substations

Questions for the weather experts. Why is tomorrow forecast to be cooler then back to hot? I've always seen the temp increase over ~3 days then drop. I guess we'll see if they're right or if it does just stay hot.

Beautiful! Thanks for taking us along on your road trip. It's been a long time since I've gotten away from the farm, it's nice to see these places again.
