I've never been to Southern Ontario in the summer but I've been to Florida in late May and I can say I've never experienced humidity like that here. You step outside and it's like you are entering a wet sauna. It's really quite something. As I said earlier, Southern Ontario can also feel like that at times during the summer, but unlike Florida, it comes in waves that last only a few days to a week. Florida gets it every day for 4-5 months.Typeing3 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 18, 2025 4:17 pm Even during the shoulder seasons, Ontario's humidity is way more noticeable than here. Been to Toronto in May and September before and on both occasions, temps were only between 25c and 30c, but the humidity was noticeable as soon as you walked outside from the airport. Clammy hands and even that distinct tropical smell. I don't recall ever feeling like that here in BC, except perhaps on a few rare occasions.

The Euro AIFS ensembles have a much stronger signal for more heat than the standard EPS. It will be interesting to see which suite is right.

Was in Toronto during the July 2013 heatwave. Temps in the mid 30s and humidity into the mid 40s. Instant steam room whenever you walked outside.AbbyJr wrote: ↑Tue Aug 19, 2025 12:03 am I've never been to Southern Ontario in the summer but I've been to Florida in late May and I can say I've never experienced humidity like that here. I live part-time in Bohol, Philippines. The humidity is extreme almost the whole year. Walking outside is like walking into a sauna even at night! Overnight lows in the mid 20s common.

I've been to Manila and I drove all the way up to Baguio. It's interesting how it gets foggy and then the fog dissipates there. Manila was quite warm in the time I was there which was February at the time.Coquitlam79 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 19, 2025 9:24 am I live part-time in Bohol, Philippines. Re: August 2025 Forecasts and Discussion
Most likely passed wildfire damage above Hicks Lake if you zoom in and follow the ridge tree line to the right you will see what looks like sticks standing.
Not sure when this occurred not the Bear Creek fire that was further NNE.
