The sky seems to be getting more stormy at the Sardis Pond.

No worries Stuffos and family it's just left over marine clouds banked up against the coastal mountains to the east of the pond.stuffradio wrote: ↑Tue Sep 09, 2025 7:05 pm The sky seems to be getting more stormy at the Sardis Pond.

With a min of 16.2°C recorded yesterday, Vancouver YVR had its 8th highest September low since records began in 1937.

Wouldn't be surprised if YVR's temperature sensor is hooped Capt. Goose remember when their humidity sensor was buggered up in the past quality control is non existent anymore due to funding cuts.Canada Goose wrote: ↑Tue Sep 09, 2025 8:27 pm With a min of 16.2°C recorded yesterday, Vancouver YVR had its 8th highest September low since records began in 1937.

Near normal temperatures? This means that October-November need to be much below normal. I'll believe it when I see it... Same for rainfall.

GFS keeps toying with the idea of a pattern change as we get towards the end of Sept.

Re: September 2025 Forecasts and Discussions
End of a era in the Whack the old Cottonwood cinema comes down to make way for condos.
man l've been there to see a movie since moving to the central fraser valley desert since 2018. Once the multiplex Galaxy cinemas opened in Eagle Landing Cottonwood showed older movies or movies that were playing once done at the Galaxy. You could take your date or spouse or both at separate times of course.
to see a movie for cheap including popcorn
pop and snacks and wouldn't break the piggy bank. It's currently 18c @ the official pond in south Sardis and the new home of Stuffed cabbagerolls and family.

Re: September 2025 Forecasts and Discussions
The forecast for rainfall is not hard to believe. Our classic Falls give us deluges of rain.

1- That’s not the case every yearstuffradio wrote: ↑Wed Sep 10, 2025 9:08 am The forecast for rainfall is not hard to believe. Our classic Falls give us deluges of rain.
2- Our average monthly rainfall are pretty high, so with a very dry September we'll need a very wet October-November. Possible but not a certainty.

Re: September 2025 Forecasts and Discussions
Are they basing the forecast off of astronomical season dates or meteorological dates? That could also play into the forecast and probability of it verifying.Canada Goose wrote: ↑Wed Sep 10, 2025 10:01 am 1- That’s not the case every year

For example, the November average rainfall is around 400-450 mm in Coquitlam.
300 mm sounds very wet but it's well below average.
