This is the final weekend of astronomical Summer. How are you spending these last two days until Fall?

EC is going for a solid 15-25mm of rain by tomorrow for Abby at least. The grasses and mycelium will re-awaken strongly now
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

There was a ~20 day stretch with snow on the ground here between late Dec '81 through early Jan '82. Chilly NW flow wet snow to begin which transitioned into a significant cold snap after New Years (low temp of -17.5c in Pitt Meadows). Warmed up thereafter with a bit more snow and plenty of rain but two weeks later we had a brief but significant overrunning snow event as well.

Surface level smoke noticeable today. Fairly strong smell. On the flip side it looks pretty clear aloft.

Was just going to post something along those lines. Hopefully the post-frontal wind shift will clear it out.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Aside from the 20-30 mm expected this evening (I'll wait and see to believe it), little rain is expected until next weekend and temperatures above 25°C on Tuesday and Wednesday (at least). Where are the +150 mm forecasted last week on the models for the end of September?
