The MJO still appears to be in phase 6, which isn't helpful for us, but it appears to be headed into phase 7 near the end of November. That could setup a favourable period into mid December.
Although, I have also read the phase impacts differ month to month.

18z GFS shows an arctic front passing through the South Coast next Saturday evening.

We could have as low as -3°C!!!

The days start getting longer on December 12th! Well, not the days per se, but the afternoon light starts increasing then (no one cares about losing morning light until December 31st).
