Re: March 2026 Forecasts and Discussions
We are probably done with snow which is good. The cold troughing signal is really watering down in the mid and long range. Looks seasonal temps wise but sort of wet which sucks.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2026 8:19 am One sneaked in here but now it is back to typical March in which everyone else is allowed snow but not I.

Yup.. I guess it switched over to slushy rain an hour ago.. then intensified to more slushy rain..recently sloppy snows, due to 100m elevation. Looks like the boundary on this entire event was around 300mwetcoast91 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2026 7:46 am Had some rather light flurries an hour ago. Cell developed and dropped rain.![]()
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++

Re: March 2026 Forecasts and Discussions
Lots of snow in Seattle, though, down almost to sea level.
I believe I told you all it was more likely Seattle would get a significant snowfall this month than we would.
Never doubt the power of March.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Some areas are going to get in excess of 30cm. Just a huge fail by the NWS. Canadian model nailed this.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2026 8:43 am Lots of snow in Seattle, though, down almost to sea level.

Looks like Sardineman may have finally scored. Wonder how much he got.

Shocked to wake up to 1cm of snow cover. I missed it falling though which is part of the fun.

Re: March 2026 Forecasts and Discussions
Looking through the webcams, theres a few spots in Seattle with sticking snow, and a bunch melting on impact. You need a true cold airmass to get snow to stick this late in the year for the most part. Still a pretty nice event for them.

Still pretty troughy in the long range. Mid range definitely looks wet and chundery.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2026 8:28 am We are probably done with snow which is good.
