FWIW, the NAM shows a high of -1.4C for Abbotsford Tuesday. Seems unlikely in full sunshine. But if it does happen then

Were you in the area again?Hawk wrote: ↑Sat Feb 23, 2019 6:13 pm Ahhhhhh catnip...I see why u still want more of this pattern as you sit in a foot of nice springtime snows. What a difference 500 feet makes. Wow. While most of the rest of us are dealing with sloppy slush for the most part. Plus u seem to be in a major snow belt. I think all the trees keep your area cooler![]()
It’s definately a weird microclimate. Driving just a few blocks will yield much different results.

What else would you expect in thewetcoast91 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 23, 2019 11:36 am Most energy today taking aim towards W Washington. Not enough instability with this ULL to really develop any surface lows/waves.
Was really hoping for a few rogue thunderstorms today but low cloud and drizzle it is...

Yeah I had posted that the NAM was showing -1.4C daytime high on Tuesday for Abbotsford.
Outflow wind gusts looking fairly impressive Monday as well. Maybe 50 gusting to 70 or locally 80?

Re: February 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Yup, when you get down to it snow just isn't that important in the larger scheme of things. How many of us would move to PG, change jobs and leave behind friends and family just for more snow? Maybe I could see a retired person doing it, but not most younger people with families and jobs.Sardisbcwx wrote: ↑Sat Feb 23, 2019 6:46 pm Oh it just goes on and on down there like l've said many times for us snow/cold lovers up here we vent then get on with it. If l wanted cold/snow l would have moved to PG, but l enjoy my life style here, grow up and get on wirh it you silly AF posters.
There are 12 months in a year and snow is a factor in maybe 4 to 6 of those months depending on where you live. I'm personally happy to see snow from mid-Nov to mid-Feb, but outside of that I don't care. That leaves 8 or 9 months where I'd rather see other types of weather.

Re: February 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
I think the snow for some people or even a lot of people puts a definite divide to the seasons. Here, without snow, it's like all rain and gloom from October to April in many cases. That is depressing and this is why many suffer from Seasonal affective disorder (SAD). The winter or snow, puts a big dent in that, and makes you actually long for spring and appreciate it better. As much as I like snow, a month of it is enough if it's all in one stretch, then I'm happy to see the green grass come back to life.

Snowing here.
Looks like Nanaimo could do well tonight. I think precip will be kind of scarce down here
