Re: January 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Yeah. Do you think Abbotsford and Chilliwack could experience power outages due to freezing rain?

Anyone could experience power outages if we get freezing rain. That's a given if it lasts too long.

Re: January 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
EC forecast for Vancouver in the text is 7-9 cm of snow...they've issued snowfall warnings for less than that before. This is very odd. Maybe it's just a really low confidence forecast.

Re: January 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
I’m not sure what to expect here...not sea level, but hardly “high elevationâ€Â. Hopefully a quick dump of snow before the rain, so there’ll be something left on the ground tomorrow.VanCitySouth wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2020 5:38 pm EC forecast for Vancouver in the text is 7-9 cm of snow...they've issued snowfall warnings for less than that before. Also, HRRR is a tiny bit snowier. FWIW

Yes.
Higher chance in Chilliwack as Abbotsford will see a quicker transition to rain.

EC suggests freezing rain for most of the day tomorrow in Abby. We'll see.

Re: January 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
I just went outside to check the sky and a rat was on the cleared part of the sidewalk and it ran towards me and I accidentally stepped on it!! I HATE rats and want to kill them all. He's lucky he got away. Disgusting.
