It's ok WP. A lot of us realize the difficulty predicting in potential snowy events in this climate and region..but some just dont understand that. There will always be critics..just try to ignore those. I always look forward to your analysis and write ups even if they fail. But you have been accurate many times so
Hope to hear from you again soon

Local mountains shud get dumped on this week. Snow measured in the feet. Could be some bommy episodes but tops shud get buried. ~A month ago they had almost nothing.
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++

Sorry guys, my forecast failed.
I thought I was close enough, but all it took was 1 degree warmer which it was, and a lack of moisture, and that lack of moisture hitting too late. It really looked like the possibility was there, and looking at temps in the eastern Fraser Valley even now, it could have been a sustained snowfall and my amounts would have come close to verifying.
Metro Vancouver is the toughest area to forecast and it's a challenge I always like to take on. I miss Vancouver, but it was easier forecasting there when I actually lived there. Now I only have family I visit 2 times a year. Edmonton weather is a breeze to forecast, it's almost boring.
For now, there will be some cool night this week that who knows, you may get a bit of a surprise, but still looking toward the weekend.
Things will cool down again and winter is not over. February always holds some winter weather for Metro Vancouver, so we might see a return to really cold temps in early Feb. For now, take it day by day.
Thanks for your kind words and support.

I look forward to reading your future posts and forecasts. I love how detailed and yet straight forward they are.
