Well if we can't get anymore cold air and snow then yes, we all need a good dose of vitamin D. And it looks like that could very well happen in the next couple of weeks.

In my neighborhood there are still some good piles of snow along street curbs and driveways, and some snow in yards and the local park and school.

You're right on the money. 3rd wettest on record...

Nobody west nor east is getting any sustained cold under the 500mb pattern modelled on the Euro ensembles. Like Phil on the American forums said, the polar vortex will likely win unfortunately.

This winter reminds me of 2011/2012. Lack of blocking due to strong vortex. Briefly the vortex dislodged allowing us to see a week of cold with some snow in January but that's it.

It's highly unfortunate but onto spring.

Regardless of what happens from here on out I think we've had a great winter! That insane arctic blast in January was short, yes, but boy was it fun watching the models close on on those temps!

2012 had a nice long sunny/dry summer. Hopefully we can see something similar in the coming months as last summer was too wet and gloomy.

Although last summer was cooler we didn't have much humidity until later in the summer I recall some ppl commenting on how humid it felt.
