I barely got over 10 mm today. Then again, July was a lot wetter here than elsewhere.

The only thing that concerns me is that all this rain might add to the mosquito problem, which is already bad out here. When do the mosquitos normally start to die down? I'm guessing late August/early September.

It's supposed to be a bad year for mosquitoes if you live near the Fraser river due to extraordinarily high water levels which caused several year old mosquitoe eggs to hatch. Otherwise the lifespan is 7-40 days, they should die off by the end of Aug me thinks but who knows. Not much here as usual but did see quite a few of them at fort Langley a few weeks ago.

Just got back from Squamish. Drove under a really dark cloud which produced some very heavy rain. Looks like November out there.
