Outside chance YVR makes a run at 30C in a few hours if offshore winds continue.

Strange. It's significantly cooler today (high: 26ËšC) in Bellingham compared to yesterday (high: 32ËšC).
It's called clown range for a reason.

Yeah temps at YVR often peak a day later than most locations during a heatwave. Looks like it topped out at 29.3c there today which is about a degree warmer than yesterdayRubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Mon Aug 17, 2020 7:34 pm Strange. Re: August 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Something weird happened that I want an explanation for.
On Sunday night near SFU, it was really hot and stuffy. Monday morning was also warm and humid with widespread altocumulus castellanus. I work in a warehouse in Delta between 8am-6pm so on my work days, I don't get to follow the weather as closely as I want. But when I left work yesterday, the clouds were gone and the humidity had dropped substantially. How did this change in weather occur?

Re: August 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
00z GFS shows a widespread 20-40mm of rain Thursday/Friday for the lower mainland and the sunshine coast. Western sections of the island look to get slammed with possibly 100mm over the two days.
