Re: February 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
With how warm things have been the last few days, and lack of any real cold air, I think this is going to be a sloppy mess and mostly rain for lower elevations. Hard to get excited after last week's much better weather.

Re: February 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
9:42 AM PST Monday 18 February 2019
Special weather statement in effect for:
Fraser Valley - central including Chilliwack
Fraser Valley - east including Hope
Fraser Valley - west including Abbotsford
A little more snow is on the way for Metro Vancouver and the lower Fraser Valley on Tuesday.
A frontal system will cross the south coast on Tuesday. Snow will begin Tuesday morning and may catch the tail-end of the morning commute. Snow will likely become mixed with rain in the afternoon, especially near the water and over lower elevations. For areas further inland, including the Lower Fraser Valley, snow may persist Tuesday night.
Total snowfall accumulations for western sections of Metro Vancouver will be in the 2 to 5 cm range, while the lower Fraser Valley could see between 5 and 10 cm.
A ridge of high pressure will rebuild on Wednesday for two days of sunny weather. The next front will move onto the south coast on Friday with the potential for another bout of wet snow and rain.

Re: February 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
It will snow. Dew points are low. -4°C at Grouse Mountain and light outflow. This system is dropping down from the North, just don't see how it won't snow.
Where is Nito when we need him.

Re: February 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
It looks like it will be snow out here. It's noon and I'm still 0C with a dew point of -7C. The system will be too weak to warm us up very much.
That's a big temperature drop from yesterday when it was +7C at this time. It was 1.2C here at midnight, might be my high for the day.
