I arrived at Seymour right after the heavy snowfall stopped and it switched to heavy sleet. That was interesting.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

Wow. That looks terrible. For the money they charge, You'd think the terrain was extensive and the lines would be reasonable.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 14, 2020 12:20 pm Means a lot of Mountain snow!!! But could also mean a winter of +4C rains.

You're under a wind warning? That probably explains why. Yesterday Environment Canada changed the forecast from winds 40-60 km/h to 50 gusting to 80 km/h and suddenly the winds calmed down.

Wind Warning for the Sunshine Coast, a bit breezy but nothing really notable...maybe it's coming later?

The beginner chair didn't look as bad on the webcam this morning. The lineups are now basically two sets of singles lines and capacity on the chairlift is reduced to 50-75%. Not sure if they have a singles only line because 2 singles can share a quad chair.
Why not try cycling to work, grocery store, anywhere!

Re: November 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Itll be weird this year. Hopefully the valley mountains are a little bit less crazy but I have my doubts now. I am realizing how invested I am in lowland snow with a limited ski year, nothing else to do and a backyard sledding and ski jump trail ready to go.tyweather wrote: ↑Sat Nov 14, 2020 4:32 pm The beginner chair didn't look as bad on the webcam this morning. Nito, can you ask your friend how long it took to get on the chairlift?

Going to see evaporative cooling at upper levels do their trick. Could see +2-3C rain tonight with chunky rain.
