And I agree, I just checked the satellite, the models have it off the tip of Northern VI by now and it seems like it's about to hit the Northern Island instead. So a fair bit SE than modeled.

Plenty of wind here in Lower North Van, bracing for a power outage...especially with many of the trees around here still full of leaves somehow.

There appears to be a surge of S to SE winds moving north now. SE winds tend to be more localized to exposed areas. I know here locally IÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ve seen YYJ gusting over 100kmh while at the same time Shawnigan Lake was flat calm less than 15 km away.

Previous RGEM runs had a track over the Northern Island but then it trended offshore. Perhaps the solution shown in previous runs will verify.
