Cold and snowy ? Snowy and Cold ? Conflicting reports!

But what would you guys qualify as a " cold and snowy" winter ? One blast that usually lasts 4 to 7 days with a generous over running event ? Multiple blasts and multiple snow events? Hard to get prolonged snow and cold around here.
