His career was somewhat wasted behind luongo and brodeur, terrible devils teams and now injuries. G

Here is an interesting save percentage chart I made the other day. It shows the average league-wide, plus a select few of Hall of Famers with some overlapping years. Notice how Roy's percentage went up even as he was beyond his peak. This was because defense became better throughout the 90s.With the exception of Mike Richter who played 23 games in 1989-90 (a period too short to pass judgement), not a single goalie in the 1980s had a save percentage higher than the 800s.

I guess they don't want to ever have an all Canadian final again.

January 13th, Canucks at Oilers. Hard to believe. I'm very curious what kind of issues are going to arise this season. Its such a tight compact schedule and games will inevitably be postponed when positive tests happen. Going to be really interesting here.

Canucks vs flames will be most intriguing wit the ex canuck players. Canucks will be weaker, I don't expect them to surprise and contend like last summer, not until they rid themselves of the boat anchor contracts ,which is probably another 1-2 yr wait. My interest level will increase if some rookies make the team like Hoglander,Lind, Rathbone,oh ya and Juolevi, keep forgetting about him,and Podkolzin eventually, not sure when the khl season is done compared to the NHL.

Sounds like Jonathan Toews is out indefinitely because of Lyme disease.

No. Thats horrible. Omg. Early retirement for him. What an absolute bummer.

Edit. Nevermind. I always thought Lyme was permanent and degenerative but I just read that a full recovery is most common. Still sucks though.
