The 6Z HRDPS looked crazy snowy over here today. We are really going to be cutting it close with that track though. Looks like it’s coming a little more north than I was expecting

I’ll do my best, but I’m thinking I need to cancel my Weathermodels subscription and change it to Weatherbell. It appears that Weatherbell has a better selection of models/parameters.

Temp went from 3.5 at 7am to 2.8 at 7:40 so it definitely is dropping

Special weather statement in effect for:

Metro Vancouver - central including the City of Vancouver Burnaby and New Westminster
Metro Vancouver - North Shore including West Vancouver and North Vancouver
Metro Vancouver - northeast including Coquitlam and Maple Ridge
Metro Vancouver - southeast including Surrey and Langley
Metro Vancouver - southwest including Richmond and Delta
Wet snow accumulations are possible over higher elevations and inland this afternoon.

Heavy rainfall of up to 30 mm are expected this morning before freezing levels lower enough to cause localized heavy wet snow to fall this afternoon. Higher elevations and southeastern sections of Metro Vancouver could see local snowfall amounts of 2 to 5 cm by this evening.

The heavy precipitation will end early this evening as the low moves to the east.
